Petrovietnam signed a strategic partnership agreement with Gazprom

On December 15th 2009, during the working visit by the Prime Minister to Moscow, in the presence of Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr. Phung Dinh Thuc, General Director of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) and Mr. Miller A.B, general director of Gazprom signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement and a contract to establish Gazpromviet Joint Venture Company (in Russia). Under the signed agreements, Gazprom and Petrovietnam confirm that the cooperation relation between two big economic groups has been heightened to a strategic level. The two sides are determined to promote the investment cooperation in all oil and gas fields, especially gas, from search, exploration to production, processing, storing, transport and distribution of gas and petroleum products; strengthen and promote cooperation in fields of scientific research and training with Russian partners. ...
